Wychwood Tennis Club AGM

Thank you to everyone who attended the  2023 AGM on Friday 17 February.

Two awards were made: 

Junior Award: Matias S

Coach Faith is always aware that these awards need to be given to children that do more than play great tennis. This young man, who’s 10 yrs old, was a year ago, playing in a red group.  He was playing with some success from the service line but then, fast forward a year, and he’s playing a very good baseline game. He turns up to sessions early with a big smile on his face, has infectious enthusiasm, chases every ball and strives to improve. He’s the first to answer any tennis questions asked and talks to Faith in sessions about his tennis coaching findings on YouTube!

Long may his enthusiasm for tennis continue and hopefully it will bring him much enjoyment.

Matias was presented with a certificate and £50 to spend on tennis related equipment.

Archie Clark Award: Paul Miller

The Archie Clark Award for longstanding service to the club was presented to Paul Miller in recognition of his service on the committee as Development Officer and in particular for his work and commitment to the court lighting project.
